Kanmadapara,Kanjirakkolli is a beautiful sight where you can spend hours and hours just admiring the nature. The place is a beautiful destination to watch sunrise and sunset. Due to its location amidst hillrocks, Kanmadapara would make a great trekking spot if you are an adventure lover. As monsoon sets, the place is all the more alluring with its floral hills and valley that turns into a flowing stream among these hills. The beauty of the valley and hills is beyond explanation. From the hilltop of Kanmadapara, Arial View Of Kanjirakolli ,Coorg Forests and  distant view of Kannur, Taliparamba and the Arabian Sea  could be seen.  The roads leading to the spot are narrow, but the beauty that surrounds them are spellbinding.

About 4500 feet above sea level, Kanmadapara is the part of Kerala vested forests.   As the name indicates, this rocky mountain peak derived its name from an Ayurvedic medicine called “kanmadam”. It is believed that timber traders in the ancient got this rare medicine of very high cost from the rock.  From the hill, we get an amazing view of the vast horizon. The sun rise and sunset from this rocky mountain peak, encircled by evergreen hills, are spectacular. We get a distant view of Kannur, Taliparamba and the Arabian Sea from here.
